ITSG L'Aquila 2023

International integration and sustainable local development

The next meeting of the ITSG - Italian Trade Study Group will be organized by the Research Laboratory on Globalization, Innovation and Local Development (GILDLAB) of the Department of  Industrial and Information Engineering and Economics (DIIIE), University of L’Aquila and by the Manlio Masi Foundation. Submissions are invited on all topics in international trade and production. Papers exploring how international economic integration (migration, trade, foreign direct investment and participation in international production networks) affect innovation and local sustainable development are particularly welcome.

Topics of special interest include:

  • Globalization, digitalization and local sustainable development
  • Trade and industrial policies, “strategic autonomy” and local development
  • Green transition, energy policies and local development
  • Globalization and the productivity slowdown
  • Globalization, employment and wages
  • International migration and local development
  • Foreign direct investment and local development
  • Participation in international production networks and local development
The deadline for applications has been extended to May 29th. The papers should be submitted to Segreteria Fondazione Masi:
